Maroochy Home Maintenance and Care, proudly known as Maroochy Home Assist (MHA), is a trusted Not-for-Profit organisation based on the stunning Sunshine Coast. For more than 26 years, we’ve been dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable, and safe home adjustment and maintenance services for older Australians, people with disabilities, and those receiving My Aged Care support. Our experienced team takes pride in delivering prompt, reliable, and compassionate service. At Maroochy Home Assist (MHA), we’re dedicated to helping your clients live safely, comfortably, and independently. Working closely with health professionals, our team delivers tailored and practical home adjustment solutions designed to meet each client’s individual needs. Trusted by OTs across the Sunshine Coast, we’re known for our reliable service, quality workmanship, and results that make a real difference.
Clients registered through My Aged Care can access subsidised labour under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) for home adjustments within the Sunshine Coast Regional Council area, paying only for materials. We also offer home adjustments services for Home Care Package and NDIS participants across Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, and Gympie regions. For clients under 65 who are not NDIS participants, Home Assist Secure (HAS) may provide subsidised labour for eligible pensioner concession card holders and we’re happy to guide you through the process.
OT - Home Adjustment Referral Forms
Our OT Training Days Discover Practical Expertise in Home Adjustments and Assistive Technology provide hands-on learning, allowing occupational therapists to meet our team, explore our products, and gain practical insights into customising solutions that enhance client safety and independence. Delivered across six engaging modules over 2–4 hours, these sessions are designed to strengthen collaboration and support better outcomes for both health professionals and the clients they care for.

SUPPORT PROGRAMS
HOME ASSIST SECURE (HAS)
Home Assist Secure (HAS) provides subsidised support for minor home maintenance and adjustments, helping eligible Queenslanders aged 60 and over, as well as people of any age living with a disability, to live safely and independently at home.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU MUST MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Reside in the former Maroochy Shire area;
- Are aged 60 years or older, or of any age with a disability;
- Hold a Pensioner Concession Card; and
- Are unable to carry out the work themselves due to limited skills or health and safety concerns.
- Unable to have the works completed through alternative assistance, such as through:
- The Commonwealth Home Support Program
- The Department of Veterans’ Affairs

COMMONWEALTH HOME SUPPORT PROGRAM (CHSP)
CHSP is a service for people aged 65 years and over or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who wish to remin living independently in their own home and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, that is supported by My Age Care. It is designed to provide a relatively smaller amounts of support to a large number of frail older people to health them to remain living at home.
Although funding for these Home Maintenance and Adjustment Services has been provided by the Australian Government, the material contained herein does not necessarily represent the views or policies of the Australian Government.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
ELIGIBLE CLIENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH SUBSIDISED ASSISTANCE WITH HOME MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENTS. TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA
- Aged 65 and over.
- 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
